A truly Healthy nutritious way of eating demands the use of Lemon juice. Instead of throwing them away we can use the squeezed lemons to make an incredibly health fermented food.

Lemons, while common are among the healthiest foods we can eat.

You can’t ever get to many of them and they are even better fermented. My grand mother fermented lemons and orange peels because they couldn’t afford cucumbers in Egypt. ”Meafina” is Egyptian slang for something that is fermented. Egyptians like most ancient peoples know how powerful fermented foods are and they work to ensure they get some every day. While this practice was done out of poverty by the people of Helwan, Egypt it has immense health benfits as the people from the area in Egypt where my mother’s family was from are known for their amazing strength, beauty and longevity.

Lemona Meafina Raw fermented Lemon Recipe

squeezed lemons – as many as you have, orange peels also work great!

4 tablespoons of sea salt

4 cloves of garlic

Your favorite spices – I use a dash of Cumin, coriander, turmeric and ginger

a small handful of crumpled raw feta cheese

3 tablespoons of olive oil

Directions

Remove the hard ends of the lemons with a knife

Cut the lemons into bite sized pieces with your hands or use a knife

Stuff the lemons into the jar

Fill jar with enough water to cover all the lemons

Use a garlic crusher to crush the cloves of garlic or mince them very finely with a knife

Add the garlic, salt and crumpled feta cheese to the jar.

Close the jar and shake it well

Open the jar and coat the top of it with some olive oil to act as a preservative.

Put a napkin on the jar and lightly put the top on

Store in a cool dry place for 5 days, You can even put this in the refrigerator from the beginning as it doesn’t last as long as other fermented foods.

Sauerkraut is amazing Health Food, tastes great and is easy to make yourself.

Traditionally lacto-fermented foods have amazing health benefits and they can help you lose weight and have more energy.

The sad state of our American Diet means that all sauerkraut found in stores is not truly fermented and is useless. The sauerkraut found in stores is pasteurized and devoid of the enzymes which make it so healthy, hence why this is a “Raw” Sauerkraut Recipe. We must make it ourselves to enjoy the immense health benefits sauerkraut has.

Scientists at Seoul National University in South Korea fed an extract of kimchi, a spicy Korean variant of sauerkraut, to 13 chickens infected with avian flu, and a week later, 11 of the birds started to recover

Another recently released study at the University of New Mexico indicates that sauerkraut may reduce the risk of breast cancer by up to 74 percent

Of the hundreds of Polish women and Polish-born U.S. immigrants observed in the study, those who ate four or more servings of sauerkraut and cabbage per week during adolescence were 74 percent less likely to develop breast cancer than those who ate 1.5 or fewer servings per week.

Raw Sauerkraut Recipe

1 Cabbage – Red or green doesn’t matter, you can even combine them to get pink Sauerkraut

1 Onion – optional

1 Cucumber – optional

3 cloves garlic – optional

4 tablespoons of Sea Salt – The only requirement next to the actual cabbage

1 Big Glass Jar – Always use glass, never plastic

Directions

Cut the Cabbage in half

Cut out the hard base steam in a v shape, do this for both sides. You can throw it away

Cut the cabbage up into slices small enough to fit into your food processor

Put the cabbage into the food processor such that it dices it into long but thin slivers

Do the same for the onions cucumbers and garlic if you choose to use them

If you don’t have a food processor then you will have to cut it up yourself with a knife

Stuff the slices cabbage into a jar an inch high at a time and then add a table spoon of Sea Salt.

Repeat until you put all the cabbage in and use up all the salt. The salt will make the water rise up out of the cabbage, this is good and the jar should be very moist now.

Your jar should be full now and the water should, put a napkin on the top then put the jar lightly on top such that air can get in and out

Put the jar in a cool dry place away from sunlight and at room temperature for at least 5 days.

After five days your sauerkraut should be ready. Eat and enjoy it and let it stay in the fridge to last longer.

Raw Meat is without a doubt the must nutritious thing you can put into your body.

Raw Meat is without a doubt the must nutritious thing you can put into your body.

What studies do I have to back this up? Only how I feel, how I look and how strong I feel after having some raw bison or raw fish. The next day I feel immensely strong, sexually activated and I am lean and ripped. I’ll take that over a medical study any day.

When you have meat raw you get far more protein, vitamins and minerals out of it than what is mentioned on the label. This is because those nutrition facts are collected only after the food has been boiled. This is how they do things in the lab. We know for a fact now that proteins are destroyed and deformed at anything above 118 degrees.

Is it Healthy to eat meat raw?

The answer is YES, it is far MORE HEALTHY TO EAT YOUR MEAT RAW.

There are only three things you must do to ensure you get the most out of it and never get sick.

Make certain your meat is from a good source. Avoid beef as it is loaded with steroids, locked up in a cage it’s entire life and feed the leftover flesh of it’s own kind. Opt for Bison every time you can. The FDA doesn’t allow bison to be given any steroids or hormones and is usually grass feed & open range. If you want fish make sure it is wild caught. Avoid pork and chicken.

Cold Cook the meat. Cold Cooking is an old art where you use the natural base’s and acids in food to cook meat without heating it. This process also kills off much of any bacteria that has accumulated and acts as a natural preservative. It also makes food more delicious and the best chef’s marinate their meats in cold cooking sauce before they heat it. The prime cold cooking agents are, lemons, vinegar, salt and garlic.

Give thanks for the animal. This will be ignored by most people as superstition but their are studies that show that when people say prayers before they eat indigestion is cut down by 90% or more. I always pray before I eat and If I am having meat I give additional thanks for the sacrifice of the animal. Respect doesn’t just go two ways, it goes all ways.

My Cold Cooking Sauce Recipe

I use my Egyptian Koshary oil , aka Tomaya, recipe as a base and add a secret ingredient to flavor the meat. The below portions are for a pound of meat. I assume Bison for this article.

1 whole lemon, squeezed

1/2 a head of garlic , minced or crushed

teaspoon of vinegar optional (added for extra enzymes, optional if you already have lemon juice)

1/4 cup of olive oil optional ( bison meat is so lean that I like to add some extra fat, optional )

Red Miso Paste ( this is the secret ingredient that really helps bring out the flavor of the meat, required for bison, use yellow miso for fish )

Celtic Sea Salt ( acts as a natural preservative so this should last in your fridge for about 3 days )

Put your ground bison or minced meat into this sauce for about 10-20 minutes and you will notice the meat will turn brown. This means it is now cold cooked!

Optional Extras

After the meat is cold cooked I like to add a few extra things to make it even better.

1/2 a cucumber minced

1 White or Red Onion minced

A whole bunch of the Stems left over from my Green Salads. I mince them or put them into the food processor and then add them to the raw meat. Yum and no Waste!

Be creative and add what you like to your Raw meat Tartar. Just remember not to add any acidic fruits or starches as that will hamper digestion. More on Proper Food Combining later.

Is it possible to combine breakfast and greens, two things people avoid and turn it into something they will crave and wake up early for? YES!

The mornings are the perfect time to have your greens and some protein in liquid form to supercharge your muscles and not tax your digestive system.

The whole idea of breakfast turns alot of people off.

People see breakfast as a chore as opposed to a pleasure. People have the same idea about greens. Eating your greens is seen as hard work. Is it possible to combine breakfast and greens, two things people avoid and turn it into something they will crave and wake up early for?

Yes! This amazing Green Protein Potion is like something out of a video game. Be prepared to just feel stronger after having it.

The Benefits of this Amazing Green Smoothie

Increased energy – The lemon, mesquite, maca and blue green algae’s all have metabolic boosting effects.

Regularity and digestive health throughout the day – The Greens give you a tremendous amount of fiber for maximum regularity.

Increased muscle rejuvenation – The protein in this drink has a 98.8% absorbency by the human body. The blue green algae protein in it has an even higher absorption rate; 99.6%

Long Lasting Energy – The Low Glycemic and nature of this shake is amazing. The only sugar in it is from the apple. Various other ingredients such as the cinnamon and maca also help to keep your sugar levels balanced.

Green Protein Potion Recipe

1 Young Thai Coconut, water and meat

2 tablespoons of Coconut Oil

1-2 cups greens ( dandelions, spinach, kale, swiss chard or organic lettuce )

1 tablespoon of Raw Honey

1 Apple

1 whole Lemon

1teaspoon sea salt

1/2 a teaspoon of Stevia

1 teaspoon of Cinnamon

1 tablespoon spoon of Mesquite

1 tablespoon spoon of Lúcuma

1 tablespoon tablespoon of Maca

1 scoop of Sun Warrior Protein

1tablespoonof Blue Green Algae (E3 Live) or Spirulina

Blend it, in Style

Put this all into a blender until it is consistent. I Highly recommend the VitaMix 5200 Blender. It is expensive but it will change the way you eat and drink.

The Science of the Green Protein Potion

Each of these ingredients is amazing and together they make the ultimate food. I have this every morning. It keeps me going through an intense 3 hour boxing training session and I even have a jar of it afterwards to feed my muscles and regulate my blood sugar. This translates into even energy levels throughout the day.

Young Thai Coconuts are the best coconuts and coconuts in general are amazing. They are the most hydrating liquid you can have because their milk matches the consistency of the plasma in your blood more than any other fluid in nature, other than your own blood of course. Also the milk of a coconut is completely sterile. The coconuts thick shell and complex natural fibers act as a filtration system that totally cleans the water over a period of eight months. WOW Oh and they have an awesome natural sweetness! Coconuts are so good for you I will be writing a Coconut article soon.

Coconut Oil is one of the best fats on earth. We all need good fats. The more active you are the more good fats you need for recovery of muscles and various organs, most importantly the brain. If you are literally growing everyday at a rapid rate then you must have as many good fats as you can get. Coconut oil is also an immune system booster. Nearly 50% of the fatty acid in natural coconut oil is lauric acid. Lauric acid destroys the lipid membrane of such enveloped viruses as HIV, measles, Herpes simplex virus (HSV-1), influenza and cytomegalovirus (CMV). Its usefulness in treating AIDS is currently under investigation. It is a main component of human breast milk and helps protect children from illness during infancy. Find it at your local farmers market or get Raw certified organic Coconut Oil online

Stevia is an amazing all natural sweetener with no sugar! It’s sweetness saturates anything you put it in and it’s glycemic value is near zero so you know your baby’s blood sugar will remain balanced and optimal. The higher our blood sugar goes the more our pancreas must work to process it. This can cause insulin imbalances which can make us more prone to type 1 diabetes. Check out my Best Sweetners Review for more low glycemic Sweetner options.

Cinnamon is one of the most medicinal spices on earth and it makes things taste great. Cinnamon’s essential oils also qualify it as an “anti-microbial” food, and cinnamon has been studied for its ability to help stop the growth of bacteria Cinnamon also contains the mineral chromium which helps you balance your blood sugar. Keeping your baby’s blood sugar balanced is one of the most important things you can do for their health, especially for the future. Too often young children are forced to eat Baby Food that is extremely high in sugar and this is one of the main culprits in juvenile diabetes.

Lúcuma is a popular flavoring for ice cream in in Peru even exceeds the demand for more globally popular flavors such as strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla so you know it tastes great. In fact, it was once referred to as the Gold of the Incas. Lúcuma an excellent source of carbohydrates, fibre, vitamins and minerals. It has lots of beta-carotene, niacin (B3) and iron. It is also low glycemic! Lúcuma powder is an awesome an nutritious sweetener.

Mesquite is of particularly great value to those looking to balance blood sugar levels. Mesquite flour offers a naturally sweet flavor to recipes, but its sugars are derived from fructose (which does not require insulin to digest and is readily metabolized). Additionally, the flour is an excellent form of fiber – meeting almost a quarter of daily needs in just two tablespoons – which not only improves digestion but further benefits sugar metabolism. Mesquite also contains lysine (an amino acid), as well as notable quantities of digestible protein, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron and zinc. As such a balanced food, it is easy to see why our Native American ancestors relied so heavily on mesquite as a staple form of delicious nourishment. Mesquite comes in a powder that is easy to put into anything.

Maca is rich in calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium, sulfur and iron, and contains trace minerals, including zinc, iodine, copper, selenium, bismuth, manganese and silica, as well as vitamins B1, B2, C and E. Maca contains nearly 20 amino acids and seven essential amino acids.. During the height of the Incan Empire, legend has it that Incan warriors would consume maca before entering into battle. This would make them fiercely strong. But after conquering a city the Incan soldiers were prohibited from using maca, to protect the women from excessive sexual impulses. LOL Now you know why I love it. Maca is an amazing natural aphrodisiac. Maca powder is simplest way to get this amazing supe rfood into nearly anything.

Sun Warrior Protein: Your body needs protein to heal, regenerate and grow. Babies easily use all the protein they can get, much more so than we adults so it is even more important that they get as much of the best protein as possible so they achieve their maximum growth potential. Sun Warrior Protein is the only protein powder I use. The reason? It is actually a real whole food, not just a supplement like every other protein powder out there. It is not made from whey, which is processed from pasteurized milk. Read my Milk article to see why pasteurized dairy products must be avoided.

Blue Green Algae is natures ultimate protein source. It is amazing stuff whose benefits are just to numerous. E3 Live is the top brand of Blue Green Algae but there are many awesome ones. For parents looking for major extra credit then go with Pure Synergy. It is my favorite and it has way more than just the algae. It is a superfood blend of 60 different plants, herbs, and superfoods. This product was developed and perfected over a 20-year period by Mitchell May, PhD. It was originally conceived to help Mitchell May recover from a severe car accident that caused extreme nerve and tissue damage. I put this into all my green smoothies and anything else I can sneak it into.

Dandelions are a great detoxifying agent. Dandelions are also one of the least hybridized crops so you can usually get it as the earth originally made it. Spinach or organic lettuce will also do, or any other green on hand but my current favorite is Dandelions.

Raw Honey is honey straight from the bee’s. It is thicker and has a more natural sweetness. Plain old honey and even organic honey have been pasteurized and often processed so they have lost much of their natural healing properties. Honey has been used as Warrior food by the Spartans, Egyptians and Incas alike.

Apples are one of the best tasting natural sweetners. A fresh fuji apple’s glycemic index is far lower than commercially sold apple juice.

Lemons: Lets talk about just how amazing the common lemon is. In traditional medicine, the lemon is widely known for its healing powers and is used in many different ways. In fact, the lemon is so powerful that it was used by the Romans as their cure for all types of poison. Because of its high vitamin C content, it is thought to help prevent and treat many infections, hasten wound healing and temper down high fever. Lemon juice also relieves symptoms of asthma, tonsillitis and sore throat. Pretty amazing for a fruit we take for granted. The sourness they add works amazingly well with the sweetness of this recipe.

Egyptian Koshary is a delicious dish that many Egyptians live off of. Now it's Healthy Muscle Food too!

Egyptian Koshary is delicious, comforting and now Healthy Muscle Food!

Egyptian Koshary is delicious, comforting and now Healthy.

The masses of Egypt live off Koshary, pronounced ( Kush ah ree) Hardly anyone outside of Egypt or the middle East knows of it. In Egypt you can get a huge bowl of this for as little as six cents and live off of it all day.

There are two kinds of Koshary, Alexandria Koshary and Cairo Koshary. My mother always made Alexandria koshary for us at home and I love it too. Cairo Koshary is far more popular and I actually like it more so I took my mothers recipe and altered it to make the carbs more complex and the proteins more complete. It is now muscle food that still tastes like a comforting dish to heal you after a hard days work.

Benefits of Koshary

Koshary is amazingly tasty especially with the garlic sauce but even without.

Good complex carbs to give you sustained energy all day. You will get a huge energy boost right after eating it too.

Koshary is 100% Vegan

Koshary is a source of complete proteins thanks to the quinoa. Vegans Rejoice

Koshary has enough protein to replace any and all soy products from your diet. Too much soy can be very bad for you.

Koshary is so easy to prepare in a rice cooker. You can cook it once and eat it over and over again.

Keeps for a long time in tupperware in your fridge so you can take it on the go.

My Mothers Cairo Koshary Recipe ( super enhanced )

1 cup Quinoa

1 cup Rice – Wild Rice is best but pricey, try Brown Basmati Rice

1 cup Lentils – I use black beluga lentils

2.5 cups water

2 onions

1 tbls olive oil – coconut oil is even better

* Tip – If you have a hard time finding these ingredients then just order them online. I have links to all my ingredients on my Food Page. That’s what I do,I buy 10lb bags of each and even with the shipping I still save big.

Directions

Put the quinoa, rice and lentils into your rice cooker and hit the botton. Stir occasionally.

While the rice cooks put some olive oil into your pot, chop up 2 onions and throw them in on medium heat. Stir until golden

If you haven’t already made Tomaya, the special garlic sauce that goes on Koshary then make it now. The Garlic sauce recipe is here.

Combine the contents of the rice cooker, the golden onions and pour some koshary oil onto the Koshary.

If you want to add a bit more to Koshary then nuts, raisins and avocado slices work very well!

Chocolate is one of the greatest foods on earth.

Everyone I invite over literally drools over this amazing chocolate. They go even wilder when I tell them these amazing chocolates are

100% Organic

100% Raw

100% Vegan – If you choose to use Coconut oil or nut milk instead of dairy raw milk

100% Dark Chocolate

100% Sugar Free – Except a little sucrose from raw organic honey

Has more protein than an egg!

It’s taste is only matched by how good it is for you. YES, raw dark chocolate is good for your health and it can help you lose weight! I will devote an entire article to how good chocolate is for you. In the meantime try this healthy sugar free dark chocolate recipe. Readers have told me that some of these ingredients can be hard to find so I have included online order links.

1 Cups of Coconut Oil (order coconut oil) - required

1 Cups Nut Milk or Raw Milk or More Coconut oil – required - I prefer to use more Coconut oil. It adds an amazing creaminess, is vegan and takes less time that making nut milk

1 Cups of Cacao Butter (order cacao butter) - required

2 Cups Cacao Powder (order cacao powder) - required

1/2 Cup of Raw Honey or Yacon Syrup if you want no sugar (order raw honey) – optional

1 Cups of Berries and smashed Nuts – I combined cashews, macademia nuts, goji berries (order goji berries) and cacao nuts (order cacao nuts)

2 Cups Protein Powder – optional – I used Sun Warrior Raw Vegan Protein powder, use what you have

1/2 tsp Maca Powder (order maca powder) – optional

1 tbsp (secret ingredient #1) – optional

1 tbsp (secret ingredient #2) - optional – an all natural sweetener

1 tbsp (secret ingredient #3) - optional – an all natural sweetener (no sugar)

1tbsp (secret ingredient #4) - optional

1 tsp Stevia – optional - an all natural sweetener (no sugar)

One of these batches can make about 30 pyramids, with the molds I have. The beautiful thing is that these chocolate pyramids are mostly protein, fiber and healthy fats. The only sugar is from the natural raw honey. Eat 5 of them and it is like having the best protein bar ever made. Guilt free chocolate is a big part of keeping your will power high and thus leads to healthy weight loss. Lets get started.

Phase #1 The Butter

First we melt the Cacao butter. The trick here is making sure the Cacao butter is never cooked. It is a living food and cooking it will rob it if it’s amazingly complex nutrients. Heat up some water in a pan on the stove top. Once it gets warm enough take the cacao butter and put it in a glass bowl and set it to float on the water in the pan. Leave it there until the cacao butter is melted.

Then Add the Coconut butter to the floating bowl. Coconut butter can be cooked but it is even better this way and it is already setup.

Add the honey too.

Once everything is nice and melted just take it out of the hot water pan leave the bowl somewhere to cool off.

Phase #2 The Nuts

Take whatever mix of nuts you have and chop them up until they are fine.

Add some berries in there if you can. Goji berries work great as they are dried and chewy.

Phase #3 The Powder

Take all the powers and put it in a bowl. While only the cacao powder is required, the other powders will add protein and guilt free flavor.

Stir the powder until they are all mixed up.

Phase #4 Making Chocolate

Combine the butter with the powder and stir it up

Combine the nuts and berries

Stir it until it reaches a smooth consitent chcolate texture. If it is too watery add more protein and cacao powder. If it is too thick then add some more coconut oil, raw milk or nut milk.

Pull out your chocolate molds and fill them up.

Throw it all into the freezer for 20 minutes

Take some Maca and sprinkle the top of the pyramids with them. The Pyramids in Egypt were covered in a thick layer of limestone when they were built. When the sun rose the light reflected off the limestone such that the pyramids glowed with power. Over time the soft limestone wore out, except for the very peaks. The golden Maca on the tops of these pyramids borrows a bit of that charm from the Pyramids of Giza.

Eat the best Dark Chocolate you ever had without guilt.

I love pickles!!!

Crunchy, cool and with those earthy smoked and exotic flavors. Pickles aren’t just an awesome compliment to the taste of nearly any meal but they are also an excellent source of fiber and they moderate your appetite in a healthy way.

Here is my Ultimate Pickle Recipe. There is quite a bit here you might not have so I will first list the necessary ingredients then all the optional ones that make it “Ultimate”

Take your pickling cucumbers and put them in your pickle jar. ( This time I used Japanese pickles but any little cucumbers will do.

Then fill the pickle jar with water to about 85% full with the pickles still inside.

Take the water from the pickle jar and put it into your blender.

We did this so we can know how much water we are working with. Now we can start adding all the other ingredients to the water in the blender to make the ultimate Pickling Juice!

5 cups of water (Bottled water is preferable)

10 cups of Sea Salt (For every 5 cups of water add a tablespoon of salt. My pickle jar held 5 cups of water so I added 10 cups of Salt)

1 whole head of garlic

1/4 cup of onions

Above are the base ingredients, now here is my special Pickling Spice Recipe that really gives it that pickle flavor. You can buy Pickling seeds/Spice already made as well. Use what you have. If you are missing things it will still taste great!

Just throw it all into the water in the blender

1 tbsp of Apple Cider Vinegar ( Any vinegar will do but Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar is my current favorite )

2 tbsp of Braggs Essential Aminos (Braggs will add protein and a nice soy Sauce flavor,. Nama Shoyu Raw Soy Sauce is also great )

1/2 tsp of Tumeric

1/2 tsp Mustard Seed

1/2 tsp Cinnamon

1/2 tsp Cumin – Cumin adds an amazing taste and is a principal ingredient in curry. It has so many special health benefits it deserves its own article.

1/2 tsp Cardamom

1/2 tsp Cilantro Leaf

1/2 tsp Smoked Peppercorn ( any pepper will do)

1 tbsp Ginger root or 1 tsp Ginger powder

3 Bay Leaves – Adds Crunchiness

After you have throw that into the blender you are ready to blend it all together and pour it into the jar or you can go for major extra credit and use these secret ingredients to go for “Ultimate Pickles”

1/2 tsp Maca – A potent Aphrodisiac made from a South American Root

1/2 tsp Mesquite – Used mostly in BBQ! Sauce Mesquite has all the essential minerals and adds an awesome Earthy flavor.

1/2 tsp Sea Kelp – Sea Weed rocks and it adds a special flavor and nutrients

1 tsp Gen Mai Chai Green Tea Leaves – The smoked brown rice flavor of Gen Mai Chai is just excellent and the Green Tea gives the pickles a energy boosting effect as well!

Just Blend it all up, pour it into the pickle jar and put it in the fridge for 3 days.

raw vegan dumplings

Dumplings have always been a favorite food of mine.

Sneaking off to NYC’s Chinatown for a feast of these pork filled, deep fried, white flour battered tasty delights brings back fond memories. Well, memories are not good enough. I WANT MY DUMPLINGS NOW!

We all deserve dumplings! Dumplings should taste great and be good for you. By good I don’t just mean made of the best ingredients and “healthy”. Dumplings should put muscle and you and get you ripped! That is what health means to me.

Why are these Dumplings so good for you?

No Carbohydrates

Tons of Protein

Good Fats

Lots of Fiber

Only natural low glycemic sugar

These Raw Vegan Curry Dumplings have NO CARBOHYDRATES!!!! Yes that is right, you can eat these things all day. I skipped my protein smoothie and just ate them yesterday. They are just Protein, Fiber and Good Fats. The only sugar in them is the sugar from the nuts. WOW!!! Lets just do it now.

Raw Vegan Curry Dumplings Recipe

This is a simple Recipe that comes in three parts.

Dumpling Stuffing

Almond Nut Paste – any kind of nut will do. Experiment

1 Avocado chopped

4 Garlic cloves finely chopped

1 Leek finely chopped – I used the white part only and the green part for a salad later

4 Cups Greens finely chopped. I used a mixture of Dandelions, Kale, Celery and Cilantro. Use whatever greens you have.

Dumpling Skin

A whole head of Cabbage ( one whole leaf per dumpling ) Maybe two whole heads of cabbage depending on how much dumpling stuffing you have.

Curry Sauce of Krishna ( Feel free to make much more of this to use in other things

1 Tablespoon Coconut Oil

1 Cup of Almond Nut Milk

Coconut Water from a whole young Thai Coconut

1 Teaspoon Turmeric

1 Teaspoon Cumin

1 Teaspoon Cardamom

1 Teaspoon Grahm Masala

4 cloves of Garlic

1/2 cup Onions

1/2 Teaspoon Cheyenne

How to prepare

First Get the Curry Sauce Ready. Mix all the Curry sauce Ingredients together in a bowl and stir. The tough part here is the Almond milk.

To make Almond Milk & Almond Paste you should

Soak a cup of Almonds in water for at least 2 hours.

Then throw them into the blender with twice as much water and Blend until fine. The VitaMix 5200 is the only blender I know that does this job. It’s expensive but worth it. Once you have it all blended then you will have to seperate the milk from almond fiber. For that you will need a Nut Milk Bag. To get a Nut Milk Bag check out my Tools & Appliances page.

Put the nut milk bag into a pot and then pour the almond milk into it. Watch as the liquid part seeps through the porous nut milk bag. Squeeze the nut milk into the pot by massaging the bag. You will then have a cup of Almond Nut Milk and a bunch of Almond Nut paste. We will use the Almond Nut paste for the Dumpling stuffing.

To make the Dumplings

Take some cabbage leaves and put them in a pot with a little water, put the lid on and put it on the lowest heat you can. Leave them in there until they wilt enough to handle easily. As long as the heat doesn’t go over 118 degrees it is still considered raw and if it isn’t oh well Should take about 10 minutes. It may help to decore the cabbage with a knife before peeling off the leaves.

Combine all the ingredients for the Dumpling Stuffing into a big bowl and mash and stir until it is all nice and consistent. Depending on the ripeness of the Avocado you might need to mash for a while longer.

Mix in the Curry Sauce and stir until the stuffing and sauce are at a good consistency.

Your cabbage leaves should now be ready to stuff. Take a cabbage leaf lay it down and put in a chunk of the Dumpling Stuffing. Try and wrap them tightly.

Put the left over cabbage into the steaming pot so that the bottom of the pot is covered. Then add some Bragg’s sauce or Soy Sauce. This will keep the dumplings from getting too hot or breaking apart from the heat. It also gives you yummy soy flavored cabbage to munch on after all the dumplings are done For me the best part is nothing is wasted.

Put the dumplings back into the pot to steam for a just a little while longer. Take them out and serve on a plate or in the pot and you are done!

Meat Balls and Curry have to be two of my favorite things. Bison meat is a new favorite. Bison is also known as the American Buffalo.

Meat Balls and Curry have to be two of my favorite things. Bison meat is a new favorite.

For those of you who get the video game references, you know know what a Geeky Gamer I am, and the rest of you now know that I am not 100% Vegan.

Bison Meat is Amazing

Bison is also known as the American Buffalo. These animals ran in great herds that the native American Indians relied on so completely for food and sustenance. They respected the Bison greatly and honored them with rituals and art. Thankfully not all the herds were wiped out and we now have some ranchers raising these amazing animals for milk, meat and more. We bought our Bison meat from a herder that has raising open range Bison for almost 100 years.

Bison are far bigger than cows and more strongly built. Despite their size and power they are extremely agile and can pivot off both front and hind feet. You are what you eat and I would rather eat an athletic and happy animal then a poor hormone filled creature that has not been allowed to take a single step since birth like the cows we get our beef from.

Bison is much leaner than beef and open range bison is so much leaner than the leanest meat industry beef that you will be shocked at it’s light yet satisfying taste. A Bison burger tastes great and won’t weight you down like a beef burger will.

Bison Curry Balls Recipe

1 lb of ground Open Range raw Bison meat

2 Open Range Chicken Eggs

1 tablespoon of curry powder

1 table spoon of grahm masla powder

2 cloves of garlic

half a shallot or 1 onion

a pinch of Sea Salt

1 cup of nutritional yeast to help hold the meat balls together ( Bison has so little fat it falls apart easily )

Feel Free to serve these Bison Curry Balls on a bed of Power Rice or on a bed of Soba noodle with some saunce. For this dish we used Soba with some of Cat Erickson’s of WorldRedress.com Raw Vegan Cheesy Nut sauce. Soba is my favorite noodle and pasta and if you look at how much protein it has and how it tastes you will see why.

How to prepare

Just take all the ingredients and mix them up by hand. Then turn them into meat balls and cook them as you like. I prefer mine as raw as possible
