Coconut Water …

Is 100% sterile

Hydrates you faster than water or any other fluid on earth

Has a fresh and sweet natural taste

More Nutritious than whole milk – Less fat, NO cholesterol and it has lauric acid which is found in human mothers milk

The nurturing lauric acid and the hydrating effects of coconut water make it the ultimate natural anti aging drink.

Coconuts are simply a gift from nature. I have one every morning in my morning smoothie. I have another one right after my workout just by itself like Baby Ray is enjoying above. It is an amazingly tasty reward and I can just feel it hydrating my body.

Making coconuts a part of your daily intake will insure you will lose weight. It is even more satisfying to know that they taste so amazingly good. Too often we turn to food to satisfy our oral fixations. Women are especially vulnerable to this, they use food to soothe themselves. Almost 100% of the time when we turn to food with such emotion we are not really hungry, we just want to put something in our mouth. Water is not enough because our minds have been programmed to think that water cannot satisfy our emotional hunger.

Hydration & Coconut Water

Coconut water is a secret of hydration and hydration is the key to curbing your appetite. When you can turn to a delicious sweet tasting and nutritious drink instead of food, you start to reprogram your mind to eat only when hungry. The other major effect is that the coconut water will hydrate your body better than anything else. The magic here is that being well hydrated makes you far less hungry, thus the next time you eat will be when you are actually hungry and you will eat far less than you would have because being hydrated will moderate your appetite.

Coconut water VS most sports drinks ( based on a 100ml sample )

Coconut water contains more potassium (at about 294 mg) than most sports drinks (117 mg) and most energy drinks.

Coconut water has less sodium (25mg) where sports drinks have around 41mg and energy drinks have about 200 mg!

Coconut water has only 5mg of Natural Sugars where sports and energy drinks range from 10-25mg of Altered Sugars.

Coconuts Tips

Always look for coconuts still closed, like the drawing above.

South East Asian Coconuts are the best

Cook all your meals with Coconut Oil / Butter. It is my favorite cooking oil.

What do the Experts think

“Coconut water is the very stuff of Nature, biologically Pure, full of Natural Sugars, Salts, and Vitamins to ward off fatigue… and is the next wave of energy drinks BUT natural!”, -Mortin Satin, Chielf of the United Nation’s Food & Agriculture Organization.

“The research over four decades concerning coconut oil in the diet and heart disease is quite clear: coconut oil has been shown to be beneficial.” - Dr. Mary Enig ( For further reading: Mary G. Enig, Coconut: In Support of Good Health in the 21st Century )

More Coconut Facts

Coconut water hydrates us faster than any other fluid on earth. The water is a natural isotonic beverage, with the same level of electrolytic balance as we have in our blood plasma.

Here is a little secret about hydration, when your urine gets bubbly you know you are well hydrated, only coconuts do that.

Coconut water is completely sterile. It takes a coconut anywhere from 8 months to a year to mature. The entire time water is being filtered through the husk which sterilizes it.

Coconut water being sterile and a near perfect match for our blood was used during the Pacific War of 1941-45, both sides in the conflict regularly used coconut water – siphoned directly from the nut – to give emergency plasma trasfusions to wounded soldiers.

Nearly 50% of the fatty acid in natural coconut oil is lauric acid, which converts to the fatty acid monolaurin in the body. Lauric acid has adverse effects on a variety of microorganisms including bacteria, yeast, fungi, and enveloped viruses. It destroys the lipid membrane of such enveloped viruses as HIV, measles, Herpes simplex virus (HSV-1), influenza and cytomegalovirus (CMV). Its usefulness in treating AIDS is currently under investigation. It is a main component of human breast milk and helps protect children from illness during infancy.

The English word Coconut comes from Spanish and Portugese word coco, which means “monkey face.” Spanish and Portugese explorers found a resemblance to a monkey’s face in the three round indented markings or “eyes” found at the base of the coconut.

On the Nicobar Islands of the Indian Ocean, whole coconuts were used as currency for the purchace of goods until the early part of the twentieth century.

In Sanskrit, the coconut palm is known as kalpa vriksha, meaning “tree which gives all that is necessary for living,” since nearly all parts of the tree can be used in some manner or another.

Coconuts are not actually nuts, but seeds.

Coconuts are the largest known seeds on Earth.

YES, you should drink water before during and after eating. There has been confusion on the topic of hydration while eating.

YES, you should drink water before during and after eating.

There has been confusion on the topic of hydration while eating. Many have said that you should not drink water while eating as it will wash away and dilute your digestive fluids, thus interfering with digestion. This is not true.

The human body is quite efficient at managing the ratio of digestive fluids necessary to digest nearly anything and it can and will compensate for the water intake with more digestive fluids if necessary. If it was true that the body could not compensate than how would we be able to digest water dense foods such as water melons and many kinds of fruits?

Gastroenterologist Michael Picco, M.D. says “There’s no concern that water will dilute the digestive juices or interfere with digestion. In fact, drinking water during or after a meal can actually improve digestion. Water and other liquids help break down the food in your stomach and keep your digestive system on track.”

There is a reasonable amount of scientific research in this area, most coming from hospital settings where researchers measured stomach acid levels in patients who either fasted and were given drinking water, or given drinking water along with a meal either before or after a surgery. While it’s not normal to be staying in a hospital or to be dealing with a health problem like a surgery, it’s still helpful to have high-quality studies that measure stomach acid changes in a carefully controlled way. The evidence from all of these studies suggests that stomach pH is not significantly altered by water drinking, even when a person consumes the water following an overnight fast.

Still some argue that animals in nature do not eat food and drink water at the same time, that they do it separately. This might be true for most carnivores but animals such as beavers and other water habituated mammals consume water with their meals.

Drinking water with meals is ok but is it beneficial to weight loss?

Yes. Drinking water before, during and after meals helps you lose weight fast as it can help you control your appetite.

When you have a gulp of water before a meal you will feel fuller sooner because the food will float to the top of your stomach faster. The receptors at the top of your stomach will signal to your brain that you are full sooner.

When you drink more water during a meal it will make you slow down your eating. The slower you eat the more efficient your digestion and thus more nutrients will be used and more toxins flushed.

Drinking water after your meal will curb your hunger for seconds as your stomach will be full for at least 15 minutes. By the time 15 minutes has passed any cravings you might have had will be long gone.

Please do enjoy a glass of water with every meal.
